Therapist Spotlight: Anna Templeton, LAPC
Anna Templeton works individually with teens and adults (ages 14+) who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and everyday coping challenges. She is especially interested in supporting clients through life transitions, including the college-age and young adult transition, when change can bring both opportunity and stress.
She also has experience treating codependency patterns for those with a loved one experiencing addiction. She helps clients achieve healthy boundaries, stronger self-understanding, and practical tools for managing mood, anxiety, and stress. Through a collaborative, client-centered approach, Anna supports clients in developing coping strategies and moving toward greater stability and emotional freedom.
Why did you become a therapist?
When I think about what inspired me to become a therapist, so many things come to mind. I’ve always been drawn to the opportunity to help others heal, better understand themselves, and create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling. I value being able to provide a safe, supportive space where people feel comfortable being open, honest, and fully themselves. I also see therapy as a privilege. I value the opportunity to connect with others on a deeper level and walk alongside them through some of life’s most challenging moments.
Along the way, this profession has allowed me to learn more about myself, grow in my own capabilities, and recognize the ways my personal experiences and hardships can help me connect with and support others. Ultimately, I was drawn to this field because of the meaningful impact we can have on one another and the opportunity to help people recognize their own strength, growth, and potential.
