Developmental Therapy

Developmental Therapy is available for children (ages 2-12) experiencing developmental delays or concerns. Some areas addressed include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. This service incorporates and expands on current Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) treatment plans already in place in other pediatric settings.

Relationship Developmental Intervention (RDI) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are included as therapy interventions used to support children and their families. Techniques utilized help with social skills, self-expression, communication skills, coordination, and boundary setting to help bolster developmental support. Parents are included in this service to enhance bonding and understanding of their child’s needs.

** Please ask about Waiver options available through the government and local entities. Developmental Therapy is a self-pay service, and we are happy to refer you to resources to apply for waivers that may assist your family. Low Country Counseling is not a Waiver Provider.
